Store Manager

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our Carlisle branch of Machine Mart. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day store operations, driving sales and delivering an excellent customer experience. The role involves managing a small team and working up to 45 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store activities and ensure smooth operation.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of 4‑6 staff members.
• Achieve challenging sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Provide honest product advice and build strong customer relationships.
• Manage overtime, ensuring extra hours are paid or taken as time off in lieu.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a small retail or field‑sales team.
• Track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs.
• Ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Good numeracy, accuracy and basic computer literacy.
• Commitment to personal and team development.
