Stores Manager – Inventory & Stock Control

About the role

The Stores Manager will be based on‑site in Long Eaton, overseeing all inventory and stock management processes for Leisure Furnishings Limited. This full‑time role ensures that stock records are accurate, storage is organised, and incoming goods are efficiently handled while maintaining health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise stock records and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation and workflow.
• Manage receipt, inspection, and allocation of incoming goods.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as production, sales, and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site setting.
• Familiarity with health and safety compliance procedures.
• Previous experience in furnishings or manufacturing is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management software.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to generate supporting reports.
• Forklift licence.
