STRAP Commercial Manager – PFI Exit Contract (12‑month contract)

About the role

This 12‑month contract position supports a central UK government authority operating in a highly secured defence environment. The role focuses on managing the commercial aspects of a STRAP framework and overseeing the exit from a PFI contract.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end commercial competitions under the STRAP framework.
• Coordinate and execute the exit strategy for an existing PFI contract.
• Maintain liaison with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare and manage commercial documentation, reports and risk assessments.
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and support decision‑making processes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial management or procurement.
• Demonstrated experience running full‑cycle competitions.
• Experience with PFI contract exit (desirable).
• Background in the public sector or defence environment.
• Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance or ability to obtain it quickly.
