Strategic Supply & Demand Planner – Grocery (UK)

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Supply and Demand Planner to drive selection and in‑stock performance for Amazon UK Fresh grocery programmes. Based in Manchester or London, you will own inventory strategies that optimise sales, margin and product turns while ensuring a high in‑stock rate for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent in‑stock rates for the assigned grocery category or region.
• Execute inventory strategies to optimise sales, turns and overall inventory health.
• Monitor and own KPIs such as in‑stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, forecast accuracy and turns.
• Forecast and manage inbound and outbound inventory flows, including purchasing and removal of unproductive stock.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvement projects.
• Collaborate with retail, operations and other cross‑functional teams to drive tool and process enhancements, especially automation of manual tasks.

Required profile

• Proven analytical background with experience in quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, planning or related fields.
• Experience in data‑driven business operations and managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel – pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links.
