Strategy & Operations Executive

About the role

The Strategy & Operations Executive supports the Group CIO, helping to embed AI across the business and keep the technology function running smoothly. You will work closely with senior leaders and act as a trusted point of contact for divisional heads.

Key responsibilities

• Track actions and commitments across technology leads, escalating only critical issues to the CIO.
• Maintain the CIO’s portfolio view, status reporting and ensure initiatives are visible without additional meetings.
• Run the leadership rhythm – prepare agendas, papers, minutes and drive clear outcomes for CIO reviews and portfolio check‑ins.
• Draft narratives, briefs and summaries for the CIO, leveraging AI tools to accelerate production.
• Serve as a visible liaison between the CIO and business units, routing requests and following through on commitments.
• Manage the CIO’s diary, inbox, supplier contracts, purchase orders and travel logistics, including coordination with the Kuala Lumpur team.

Required profile

• Hungry to learn, comfortable moving at pace; background in consulting, business management or fast‑growing environments.
• Highly organised with a proven track record of handling multiple moving parts without being chased.
• Confident interacting with senior leaders, able to chase directors politely and hold ground.
• Strong written English, capable of turning rough inputs into clear papers or summaries.
• Technical curiosity to follow delivery conversations and ask the right questions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Claude AI for drafting, summarising and analysing content.
• Solid understanding of AI concepts and ability to discuss benefits and limitations in a business context.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
