Structural Integrity Team Leader

About the role

Amentum's Structural Analysis and Assessment Team is recruiting a Structural Integrity Team Leader to line manage 6-8 structural integrity experts. The role develops and grows the team's services for key clients in the New Build, Generation and Defence industries, while building a strategy to expand the client base beyond traditional customers and geographies. It combines technical oversight and delivery with line management and business development.

Key responsibilities

• People leadership: line manage, coach and support a team of 6-8 engineers; run regular team meetings on delivery, welfare and performance; complete annual appraisals and support personal development; recognise achievements and recommend promotions
• Technical delivery: lead and contribute to complex client projects; plan and manage workload and resolve resource conflicts; maintain high standards of quality, safety and compliance
• Business development: build relationships with existing and new clients; identify growth opportunities in emerging reactor programmes; lead or support bids and proposals; contribute to long-term market positioning

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent training and experience) in a mathematical, physical science or engineering discipline
• Proactive communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Motivated, committed to strong technical delivery and aligned with Amentum's values
• Analytical, curious and questioning approach to driving innovative solutions
