Structured Finance Reporter

About the role

LSEG's International Financing Review is looking for a journalist to report on European structured finance markets. The structured credit reporter uncovers developments and themes in securitisation markets in real time, using established contacts and sources and developing their own, and supports the credit team's coverage across all capital markets asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Write and package stories accurately and quickly, in line with the publication's principles and operating standards.
• Capture information to break news, including exclusives, beats and insightful analysis pieces.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive list of industry contacts.
• Develop expertise to become an authority on structured credit and speak knowledgeably about adjacent markets.
• Interact with clients and colleagues to shape coverage.
• Become a journalistic mentor to colleagues.

Required profile

• Reporting experience in a news environment.
• Knowledge of structured credit or other capital markets asset classes.
• A collaborative approach.
• Comfortable sifting through regulatory filings and talking to senior bankers, investors, traders, finance directors and lawyers.
