Student District Nurse

About the role

The North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) is seeking enthusiastic Student District Nurses to join our community nursing team. This role offers the chance to develop practical nursing skills while delivering high‑quality care to adults and children across North East London and Essex.

Key responsibilities

• Provide district nursing care in community settings, supporting patients with a range of health needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to NHS clinical guidelines.
• Participate in mandatory and systems training during the induction period.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a recognised nursing programme or recent graduate seeking a student placement.
• Commitment to start on the first Monday of a month and complete a two‑week induction at the head office in Rainham, Essex.
• Willingness to work in a high‑cost area (Outer London) and comply with probationary requirements.
