Supervising Social Worker – Therapeutic Fostering Agency

About the role

We are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join a therapeutic fostering agency in the South East. The role is permanent and based in Chatham, overseeing a caseload of foster carers across Kent. You will help ensure that children receive high‑quality, therapeutic care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a caseload of approximately seven foster families, monitoring care standards and outcomes.
• Recruit, train and support foster carers, promoting therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct regular visits and reviews to ensure compliance with legislation and Ofsted standards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete Form F documentation, with the option to take additional Form F assignments for extra pay.

Required profile

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Demonstrated safeguarding experience.
• Fostering experience is desirable.
• Current knowledge of relevant legislation and Ofsted expectations.
