Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will focus on machined and casted parts, as well as other standard materials, supporting claim management, local supplier development and preventive quality work. You will join a technical purchasing team that drives high service grades and strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse deviations from incoming inspection, production and customer feedback, checking plausibility.
• Generate complaints to suppliers and evaluate their feedback, including 8D and quality statements.
• Coordinate internal immediate measures and communicate with suppliers (rework, sorting, return delivery, etc.).
• Participate in purchasing projects, planning and implementing quality steps on the supplier side.
• Ensure suppliers implement preventive quality standards.
• Create and coordinate testing and measurement concepts for suppliers.
• Request final 8D reports and necessary corrective actions from suppliers.
• Report quality data and coach suppliers in quality methods.

Required profile

• Degree with proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality or purchasing quality, preferably with machined or casted parts.
• Background in mechanical technology, especially machining and casting, and evaluation of measurement concepts.
• Project‑management skills, structured work approach, strong motivation to learn and proactive communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); SAP experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
