Supply Chain Administrator – Temporary (2 months)

About the role

This temporary position supports the company's supply chain from order receipt through to dispatch, ensuring materials are purchased, inventory is optimised and customers receive a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory control, including purchasing consumables and ensuring on‑time, on‑quality, on‑cost delivery.
• Maintain accurate records for all supply‑chain activities and handle material allocations.
• Enter, process and confirm sales and service orders, responding to customer enquiries on stock, pricing, quotes and documentation.
• Run invoices for UK and export shipments and provide required export shipping documentation.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Conduct regular stock‑takes and maintain KPI dashboards.

Required profile

• Intermediate experience with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Previous experience in a stores environment as a material controller or supervisor.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and export shipping processes.
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations such as COSHH and manual handling.
