Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

Barbour is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team at the Head Office in South Shields. The role supports the end‑to‑end flow of product, ensuring that finished goods are delivered from the international supply base to worldwide distribution centres on time, within cost targets and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and accurately process Purchase Orders, monitoring progress and re‑prioritising as needed.
• Liaise with factories, freight forwarders and internal tech/QA teams to arrange cost‑effective shipping and meet critical milestones.
• Maintain the M3 business system with up‑to‑date PO data, delivery schedules and capacity constraints.
• Review the Purchase Order Backlog (POBE) to align supplier deliveries with sales priorities.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of orders to maximise customer fulfilment.
• Manage the ordering and delivery of key samples for seasonal launches.
• Conduct regular supplier meetings and factory visits to track progress.

Required profile

• Experience in garment and general procurement is desirable.
• Proven experience in production planning and supply‑chain coordination.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to factories and handle occasional on‑site visits.
