Supply Chain Planning Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead the integrated, intelligent and agile supply chain function as they transition to a new state‑of‑the‑art facility in Fareham. The role will focus on the full SIOP horizon, ensuring demand is met on time and in full while optimising inventory and capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the supply chain organisation across the 0‑36 month SIOP horizon, driving execution and agility.
• Manage a team of Network Schedulers responsible for the 0‑3 month value‑stream window.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Material Planners and Order Managers to balance demand and supply.
• Oversee capacity versus demand, flag exceptions and work with operations, warehousing and procurement to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain replenishment strategies, inventory targets and policies in line with SIOP.
• Analyse supply and inventory performance metrics, identify gaps and implement improvement plans.
• Provide data and insights for divisional SIOP meetings and regional business reviews.
• Conduct scenario planning to optimise service, cash flow and cost.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience in a global or multi‑plant industrial environment.
• Proven ability to influence and deliver results across end‑to‑end product and supply chain processes.
• Leadership experience managing complex material flows across multi‑tier manufacturing and distribution networks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate scenarios to non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of supply chain impact on P&L and working capital.

Required skills

• Advanced Planning Systems (experience advantageous)
• CPIM certification (plus)
