Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Williams Trade Supplies, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, is recruiting a Warehouse Assistant for its distribution centre in Fareham. You will work in a busy team on the receipt, storage, replenishment, picking and dispatch (prep) of plumbing and heating goods. Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:30, with no weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Goods receipting and stock storage and replenishment
• Packing and wrapping goods
• Picking orders and deliveries
• Operating forklifts, if qualified or after training
• Carrying out warehouse tasks safely and efficiently while following company procedures and health and safety standards

Required profile

• Able to plan and organise your own workload and follow instructions
• Highly accurate with good attention to detail
• Respects health and safety guidelines
• Keen to meet deadlines with a flexible approach to daily tasks
• IT literate, with good numeracy and communication skills
• Team player and able to work in a physically challenging role
• Previous forklift experience and qualifications are ideal but not essential, as full in-house forklift training is provided
