Supply Chain Specialist (Global)

About the role

This position supports a global leader in automotive electronics manufacturing by ensuring continuity of raw material supply across an international network of plants. You will operate at a strategic level, managing shortages, coordinating recovery actions and optimising material allocation worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate constrained materials across multiple manufacturing sites and business units.
• Coordinate allocation activities with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Product teams globally.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead recovery plans during global supply shortages.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve critical supply chain issues.
• Lead global supply chain improvement and logistics projects.
• Produce weekly management reports on supply risks, allocation status and recovery actions.
• Represent the business in global allocation meetings and crisis‑management forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics or materials planning within manufacturing, automotive or electronics.
• Experience managing suppliers and improving logistics processes in a global environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

What we offer

• Salary £45,000‑£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• 6‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of a further 3‑month extension.
