Supply Year 2 Teacher – Dover

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with primary schools in Dover to recruit enthusiastic Year 2 teachers on a supply basis. The role is full‑time and can be taken up immediately, offering both long‑term and day‑to‑day supply opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop literacy and numeracy skills for Year 2 pupils.
• Prepare students for the transition to Key Stage 2, fostering confidence and resilience.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support inclusive learning and share best practices.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Effective communication with pupils, parents, and staff.
