Support Worker – 24‑hour shifts in Barrow

About the role
Priority Recruitment is seeking an experienced Support Worker to provide 24‑hour, 1:1 assistance to a gentleman in his 50s living with an acquired brain injury. The role is based in Barrow‑in‑Furness and combines daytime support with overnight sleep‑ins, helping the client maintain independence and quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 support in the client’s home and within the community.
- Prompt and assist with daily living activities such as personal care, routines, and household tasks.
- Administer medication in line with training and care plans.
- Drive the client to appointments, community activities, and therapy sessions.
- Support meal preparation and encourage a balanced diet.
- Monitor wellbeing, report concerns, and encourage participation in structured activities.
Required profile
- Medication administration training.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Compassionate, reliable, and person‑centred approach.
