Support Worker – Person‑Centred Care

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to join a dedicated team in Glasgow. In this rewarding position you will provide person‑centred care that enhances the daily lives of individuals with diverse needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical and emotional support in line with personal care plans.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication support.
• Promote independence, dignity and quality of life for each person you support.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and community activities.
• Build trusting relationships with service users and their families.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues, healthcare professionals and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a support or care role is desirable.
• Genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference.
• Warm, patient and empathetic approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and shift patterns as needed.
• Willingness to obtain a valid DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
