Support Worker – Residential Home (Royston, SE England)

About the role

We are partnering with a respected residential home in the Royston area to provide compassionate care for children and young adults with additional needs. As a Support Worker you will deliver personal and social care, helping residents achieve their goals and enjoy a safe, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality personal care such as washing, dressing, continence support and feeding.
• Facilitate social activities, community outings and peer interaction.
• Support attendance at school, college, skills centres and other day‑to‑day programmes.
• Assist residents in meeting objectives set in Individual Care and Education Plans.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care‑plan updates.
• Participate in safeguarding, risk assessments and capacity assessments.
• Take on Keyworker or Co‑Keyworker duties and mentor colleagues where needed.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn, go the extra mile and work a rotating roster including alternate weekends.
• Exceptional communication, patience and creativity when meeting individual needs.
• Genuine passion for supporting young adults with complex needs.
