Surfacing Supervisor – Airfield Projects

About the role

The Surfacing Supervisor will lead surface‑work squads on commercial and military airfields across Great Britain. Based primarily in Oxfordshire, the role ensures that all asphalt surfacing activities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate surfacing works, guaranteeing safety for the public, customers and site personnel.
• Ensure all activities comply with specification quality requirements.
• Direct foremen, plan workloads and meet project targets.
• Assist managers in staff development and help employees understand job expectations.
• Place timely orders for materials and plant, balancing cost, client value and standards.
• Maintain accurate site records and oversee plant/equipment procurement, usage, maintenance and removal.

Required profile

• Proven experience in asphalt surfacing, preferably within the aviation sector.
• Strong leadership ability to manage on‑site teams.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
