Surplus Stock Controller

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Surplus Stock Controller to manage the collection, tracking and sale of surplus and imperfect stock across Pladis sites. The role supports waste reduction, sustainability and operational performance while delivering revenue from excess inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, tracking and sale of surplus and imperfect stock across multiple product categories.
• Maximise recovery value and generate revenue from surplus stock and waste streams.
• Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance against forecast targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal departments, external suppliers and waste partners.
• Identify, report and escalate risks, issues and opportunities.
• Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports on stock recovery, sales performance and waste activity.
• Maintain the Surplus Stock and Waste Dashboard with up‑to‑date data.
• Provide performance data and analysis to support site management and UK Waste Specialist decision‑making.
• Promote continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve recovery performance.

Required profile

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Comfortable analysing data and producing performance reports.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Interest in sustainability, waste reduction and operational efficiency.
