Swim School Teacher – Flexible Full‑time/Part‑time

About the role
GLL is seeking enthusiastic Swim School Teachers to join our Gosforth Leisure Centre in Newcastle. You will deliver safe, engaging swimming lessons to pupils of all ages, helping them build confidence and essential water skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver group and one‑to‑one swimming sessions in line with the Swim School product manual.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional poolside environment and uphold the Customer Charter standards.
- Ensure pupil safety, enforce relevant regulations, and follow safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Promote further courses, assist with enrolments, and record pupil progress and awards.
Required profile
- Approachable, patient and able to motivate learners of all ages.
- Strong understanding of health, safety legislation and child protection procedures.
Required skills
- STA Award or Certificate level, or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
- Ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
