SWQR Operator – EV Pavement Charging Installation

About the role

We are seeking a reliable SWQR Operator to join Kerbo Charge’s installation team. You will work alongside a supervisor to install our patented cross‑pavement EV charging channels across the UK, helping residents without driveways charge their electric vehicles safely and conveniently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site installation of Kerbo Charge channels, preparing a 70 mm × 40 mm slot in the pavement and fitting the channel flush with the surface.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, materials and equipment, keeping them in good condition and using them correctly.
• Travel frequently and stay away from home during the work week, with accommodation and expenses covered.

Required profile

• Valid SWQR operator card valid until 2027, including modules O5, O6 and O8.
• Card scheme accreditation for abrasive wheels, hot‑works safety and LPG cylinder handling.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to drive work vans nationally.
• Residence within 50 miles of Milton Keynes.
• Previous experience in construction, civils, utilities or a similar site‑based role.

• Cold‑lay bituminous reinstatement (O5).
• Hot‑lay bituminous reinstatement (O6).
• Modular surface and concrete footway reinstatement (O8).
• Abrasive wheels operation.
• Hot‑works safety awareness.
• LPG cylinder handling and safety.
