System Administrator II

About the role

The System Administrator II will provide operational support for a team that manages large‑scale building management and physical security systems. Working in a ticket‑driven environment, you will resolve issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure the reliability of server and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server and network hardware, including fiber/optic cables and related components.
• Manage circuit move, add, change, and disconnect (MACD) orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate and oversee local vendor technicians for server, circuit, and maintenance tasks.
• Install and verify physical layer cabling according to defined matrices.
• Provide ongoing production support, liaise with vendors, system owners, and other operations teams to resolve incidents.
• Track requests, generate weekly status reports, and document implementations.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for ad‑hoc troubleshooting and regional maintenance activities.
• Maintain and improve inventory databases for servers, circuits, and spares, and trigger replenishment when thresholds are met.
• Submit and manage vendor remote‑hands requests, schedule onsite technicians, and conduct regular audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in datacenter or corporate/enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IT best practices such as ITIL and equipment lifecycle processes.
• Experience executing detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and technical instructions.
• Ability to work with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA) and follow procedural workflows.
