Systems Administrator – macOS & Jamf Specialist

About the role

Gearset is expanding its IT team and is looking for a Systems Administrator with a strong focus on macOS and Jamf. You will own the management of over 350 endpoints, drive network reliability, and support company‑wide projects while working in an autonomous, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the MDM environment (Jamf 98% and Intune 2%) and plan future enhancements.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex support tickets and mentor the IT Support Technician.
• Diagnose and resolve Wi‑Fi and network issues, leading long‑term performance improvements.
• Run maintenance programmes and audits across core systems to increase resilience.
• Implement security best practices and access controls to protect data.
• Support the IT Project Manager on company‑wide initiatives, providing technical expertise.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Apple/macOS environments and Google Workspace.
• Strong background in network administration and diagnostics, especially with Aruba Central and FortiManager.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to all audiences.
• Analytical problem‑solver with a root‑cause mindset.
• Proactive ownership of domains while collaborating in a lean, high‑impact team.
