Systems Engineer - V&V Certification

About the role

Join a world‑class defence organisation in Bristol as a Systems Engineer focused on verification, validation and certification of the Land Ceptor weapon system. The role is contract‑based (12 months) with a strong hybrid working model, supporting both on‑site collaboration and remote analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Work within the certification team to capture, review and analyse evidence for design certification.
• Review technical documentation and support functional evidence generation.
• Develop and agree Design Verification Plans (DVP) and manage design reconciliation for changes and obsolescence.
• Identify verification gaps, track issues and drive corrective actions across multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Prepare and review compliance documentation, verification reports and certification evidence.

Required profile

• Proven experience with IBM Rational DOORS Classic.
• Ability to analyse evidence against requirements and assess compliance.
• Knowledge of V&V processes and methodologies.
• Experience preparing compliance documentation and certification evidence.

What we offer

• Rate of £70 per hour, with overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑quarter.
• Hybrid working: three days on‑site, two days remote.
