Systems Specialist – IT Support (Hybrid, Edinburgh)

About the role

Join Sight Scotland’s forward‑thinking IT team as a Systems Specialist, providing first‑line technical support to staff across the charity. Working hybrid from Edinburgh, you’ll be the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day IT issues and help ensure a smooth, secure technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support, resolve routine hardware, software and network issues, and manage service‑desk tickets.
• Escalate complex incidents to the Senior Systems Specialist and monitor service performance.
• Assist with onboarding new users, including account creation, device build‑out, configuration and IT induction training.
• Perform system health checks, routine maintenance and contribute to SLA reporting.
• Support database upkeep and continuous improvement of IT service delivery.
