Systems Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Support Engineer to join a specialist technology business in Brentford. The role starts with on‑site training and then moves to a hybrid pattern of two days in the office and three days remote. You will be part of a small, supportive team delivering high‑quality technical support for critical software and communication systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, support and monitor business‑critical software applications and communication systems.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams via the company helpdesk.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical faults.
• Carry out routine system health checks and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with installation, configuration and commissioning of new systems.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve customer issues.
• Support product demonstrations when required.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and provide out‑of‑hours support.

Required profile

• Experience in IT, networking or telecommunications support.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical ability to investigate faults and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
