Tax Accountant – Personal Tax & Trusts

About the role

Reed Finance is recruiting a Personal Tax Accountant to join a private client team serving a top‑500 legal firm in Bournemouth. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax affairs of individuals, trusts and estates, including preparation and submission of Self‑Assessment returns.
• Handle capital gains tax matters, particularly property‑related, and support inheritance tax calculations.
• Liaise with clients, trustees, fee earners and HMRC to gather information, ensure accuracy and meet strict deadlines.
• Provide high‑quality client relationship management and maintain detailed tax records.

Required profile

• Qualified (ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA, QBE) with up‑to‑date knowledge of personal, trust and estate tax.
• Experience with capital gains tax, holdover relief and inheritance tax.
• Strong communicator with clients, fee earners and HMRC.
• Highly IT literate, proficient in MS Office and tax software.
• Self‑motivated, resilient, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
