Tax Manager – Experienced Tax Advisory Role

About the role

Join a leading accountancy practice in Bristol as a Tax Manager. You will own a portfolio of business and private clients, delivering strategic tax advice and overseeing compliance across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio, reviewing complex personal, partnership and corporate tax returns.
• Provide proactive tax planning advice, including remuneration strategies, profit extraction, and succession planning.
• Support company restructures, share reorganisations, and capital gains, inheritance and property tax matters.
• Handle HMRC enquiries and disclosures, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Identify opportunities to enhance client service and generate additional advisory work.
• Lead client meetings, present tax planning recommendations, and mentor junior team members.
• Monitor legislative changes and keep clients informed of relevant updates.

Required profile

• CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant tax experience.
• Strong background within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent knowledge of UK personal and corporate taxation.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios.
• Commercially minded with strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
