Tax Manager

About the role

This is a broad, hands‑on Tax Manager position within a growing multi‑office accountancy firm. You will manage a mixed portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, act as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters, and help develop a expanding tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage personal tax planning and complex compliance for a diverse client base.
• Provide corporate and owner‑managed business tax advisory, including IHT, estate planning, CGT and R&D exposure.
• Handle ERS, P11D and ATED matters.
• Review work, mentor junior staff and oversee workflow management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on client matters and department development.

Required profile

• ATT/CTA qualified or currently studying.
• 4‑5+ years of UK tax experience.
• Strong personal tax and compliance background with some corporate tax advisory exposure.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting or managing a tax team.
• Commercial, client‑facing attitude and confidence dealing with HMRC.
