Tax Specialist – Contract (5-8 yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Specialist on a contract basis to support our finance and data engineering teams in London. The role combines traditional tax accounting expertise with the design of data annotation guidelines for AI training, ensuring compliance with tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns and manage tax accounting activities.
• Design annotation guidelines and advise engineering teams on financial data taxonomies.
• Identify anomalies, edge cases, bias, and hallucinations in AI training data while maintaining tax compliance.
• Utilise tax tools and financial accounting systems to support accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with auditors and finance stakeholders to ensure audit‑oriented accuracy.

Required profile

• CPA, CA, CPB or equivalent designation (preferred).
• 5–8 years of professional tax accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of debit/credit concepts, business finance and audit‑oriented critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly in English and manage deliverables precisely.
