Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing throughout the term.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning.
• Help prepare classroom materials and activities.
• Provide support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN.
• Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing among pupils.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
• Patient, caring and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential.
