Teaching Assistant – KS2 1:1 Support (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for Key Stage 2 pupils in a primary school in Potters Bar. The role starts on 1 September 2026 and is offered on a temporary basis with flexible full‑day or AM‑only options.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with KS2 pupils who need additional one‑to‑one support.
• Help pupils access learning materials and develop independence.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider staff to implement learning strategies.
• Support individual targets and encourage positive classroom engagement.

Required profile

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Proven experience providing one‑to‑one support to pupils.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Good understanding of behaviour support strategies and differentiation.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
