About the role
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in the Sevenoaks area. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide personalised support that helps students with additional needs access the curriculum and develop independence.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with additional learning needs both inside and outside the classroom.
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions and small‑group support.
- Encourage confidence, engagement and independence in learners.
- Collaborate with teachers, the SEN team and other staff to plan and implement support strategies.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting students with SEN.
- Experience delivering interventions or small‑group support.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- A calm, encouraging and proactive approach.
- Ideally a degree in a core subject or Social Science area.
