Teaching Assistant & Midday Supervisory Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a caring and reliable individual to join Winterslow Primary School as a combined Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant. The role supports pupils’ learning in the classroom and ensures a safe, positive environment during lunchtime.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities, supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils who need additional help.
• Supervise pupils during the lunch period, promoting safety and positive behaviour.
• Help with the preparation and clean‑up of the dining area.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a welcoming and inclusive school atmosphere.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.
• Ability to work flexibly within the agreed timetable.

Required skills

• Basic classroom support techniques.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures for school environments.

• Permanent part‑time contract (20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year).
