Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our small, friendly team at Twyford Church of England School. This part‑time, fixed‑term position runs for one academic year from September 2026 and is term‑time only, supporting the delivery of a caring, Christian‑based primary education.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Implement play‑based learning and extracurricular activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Model the school’s values and maintain a calm, supportive environment.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of daily routines.

Required profile

• Friendly, positive, and proactive with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working in education.
• Ideally qualified to Level 3, though candidates without this qualification will be considered.
