Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time, Hounslow)

About the role

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full‑time basis from September 2026. The role involves supporting classroom teachers and helping pupils engage with learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to teachers during lessons.
• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable).
• Genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
