Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a range of supportive secondary schools across the Wirral. This full‑time position starts in September and offers the chance to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, supporting students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils to enhance their learning.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
• Offer additional help for students with Special Educational Needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential).
• Patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping students reach their potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or transferable experience (preferred).
