About the role
We are looking for compassionate and resilient individuals to join our SEN schools in Oxfordshire. As a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker you will support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorder, helping them achieve both educational and personal milestones.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning in the classroom, adapting activities to individual needs.
- Assist with sensory learning, communication strategies and structured routines.
- Provide personal care such as feeding, changing and toileting.
- Support pupils with physical needs, including safe use of mobility aids or hoists (training provided).
- Promote independence, life‑skills and social development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Caring, patient and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
- Comfortable with personal care responsibilities.
- Confident or eager to learn supporting children with complex needs.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable, proactive and resilient.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
