Tech Lead, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

LSEG's Risk Intelligence organisation is looking for a Tech Lead, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for its Risk Screening Product Line, based in Nottingham, UK. The role leads the reliability engineering function for critical Screening applications serving the EMEA region, ensuring availability, scalability, performance and security of business-critical platforms in a cloud-native environment. It combines technical leadership with mentoring and team building.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 24x7 reliability operations for Screening services, defining SLOs, SLIs and error budgets, maintaining reliability scorecards and acting as Major Incident Commander during outages.
• Drive automation across incident response, deployment, compliance and observability, and co-own the cloud reliability roadmap with platform teams.
• Embed non-functional requirements and secure-by-design principles in delivery pipelines, and ensure DR readiness, runbooks and resilience patterns are applied consistently.
• Lead and mentor a team of SRE engineers, support career development and performance management, and collaborate with HR and Talent on local hiring pipelines.
• Represent the Nottingham site in global SRE forums, partner with vendors and staffing partners on workforce augmentation, and support BCP/DR planning.

Required profile

• 8+ years in production operations, SRE or DevOps roles, with at least 3+ years in a people management capacity.
• Proven experience managing cloud-native services on Azure and AWS, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Lambda, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch and AWS Lambda.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident response).
• Experience with identity platforms and/or fraud detection systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills; calm and structured under pressure.
