Technical Client Support Specialist / Paraplanner

About the role

Our client, an independent financial adviser firm, is seeking a Level 4 qualified Technical Client Support Specialist to support the full financial planning process. The role blends technical research, calculations and client case management, offering a clear pathway towards Level 6 qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Review client circumstances and existing financial arrangements.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, taxation and estate planning.
• Perform financial planning calculations and cash‑flow modelling.
• Prepare suitability reports and recommendation documentation.
• Support advisers with technical strategy and case progression, liaising with providers.
• Contribute to the improvement of technical processes and standards.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
• Experience in a paraplanning, technical support or financial planning role within an IFA or wealth‑management environment.
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and taxation.
• Strong analytical, research and written communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
