Technical Project Manager – Government Programme

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Technical Project Manager to join our team in Farnborough, with flexible home‑working options. You will work closely with the Senior Programme Manager for a Government client, overseeing project delivery, change management and new business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors to ensure flawless project execution.
• Collaborate with technical leads to understand, plan and manage complex technical solutions.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget while managing scope changes, schedules and costs.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Allocate resources, perform risk management and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and report progress to senior management.
• Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and as part of a multi‑functional team.
• Effective communicator comfortable engaging directly with customers and colleagues.
• Analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.
• Technical background sufficient to partner with technical leads and manage risks.
• Willingness to obtain SC clearance if not already held.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership abilities.
