Technical Sales Advisor – Customer-Focused Technical Sales

About the role

Join a well‑established specialist distributor as a Technical Sales Advisor, where you’ll combine technical expertise with outstanding customer service to help clients find the right solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Provide quotations and process customer orders.
• Offer technical product advice and guidance.
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Support customers from initial enquiry through to delivery.
• Ensure excellent levels of customer service at every stage.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records and quotations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in internal sales, technical sales, customer service or sales support.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, organised and detail‑oriented.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn technical products and solutions.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude.
• Experience in electrical wholesale, engineering distribution, industrial supplies, manufacturing or technical products is advantageous but not essential.
