Temporary Accommodation Officer – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join a busy housing team on a three‑month contract. The role blends administration, customer service and on‑site duties to support households placed in temporary accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Register new applicants and manage sign‑ups for temporary accommodation.
• Carry out property inspections, safety checks and ensure compliance with housing standards.
• Liaise with accommodation providers, landlords and other stakeholders.
• Provide urgent assistance to vulnerable residents, including sourcing essential items.
• Maintain accurate records using internal maintenance and finance systems.

Required profile

• Strong administrative background with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to remain calm and empathetic.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage a varied workload.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (highly desirable).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
