Temporary Accounts Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation in Taunton that needs a proactive, detail‑oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support a busy finance team during a key period. The role is full‑time, initially for 3‑6 months, with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage supplier and customer accounts, perform reconciliations and resolve ledger queries.
• Carry out bank and company credit‑card reconciliations.
• Support credit control and chase outstanding customer debts.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with finance administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Available immediately or on short notice and able to commute reliably to Taunton.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
