Temporary Chef – Flexible Shifts in Ashford

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Temporary Chef to join a busy hotel kitchen in Ashford. This role offers flexible shifts and the chance to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment while delivering high‑quality meals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to hotel standards for breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.
• Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Support the kitchen team during peak service periods.
• Handle stock efficiently and minimise waste.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a chef in a hotel, restaurant or similar setting.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
• Own chef whites and knives are desirable.
