Temporary Chef Positions – Immediate Start in Hertfordshire, Essex & North London

About the role

CTS Recruitment is seeking chefs of all grades for temporary assignments across Hertfordshire, Essex and North London. Roles are based in care homes, nursing homes, schools and other educational establishments, offering immediate start dates for suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with dietary and nutritional standards for residents or students.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Assist with menu planning, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Work collaboratively with senior kitchen staff and adapt to varying shift patterns.

Required profile

• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Previous experience in schools, care homes, nursing homes or contract catering.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) minimum.
• Enhanced DBS check preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable, professional approach; own transport advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Food Hygiene (Level 2) certification.
