Test Technician – Entry Level Electronics Testing

About the role

The Test Technician will join the Swindon site of Appcast Enterprise, supporting both operational and engineering activities. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in electronics testing, stock handling and on‑site customer deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Handle stock and ensure traceability of electronic products.
• Deliver electronic products to customer sites using a company or rental van.
• Perform functional and performance testing of electronic and power‑supply units.
• Assist engineering teams with product verification, validation and end‑of‑line testing.
• Investigate basic faults and support troubleshooting of test setups.
• Maintain and organise the electronics test laboratory and equipment.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic understanding of electronics or electrical engineering (through study or practical experience).
• Hands‑on practical ability with testing, wiring and simple assembly.
• Reliable, proactive and willing to learn.
• Eligibility to meet BPSS requirements (right to work in the UK, identity proof, five‑year activity history).

Required skills

• Use of digital multimeters.
• Use of oscilloscopes.
