Trainee Accountant – Entry Level Accounting Position

About the role

This full-time Trainee Accountant position offers a structured entry into the accounting profession. You will receive on-the-job training, support for professional qualifications and the chance to work with a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accounts and financial information for clients.
• Support VAT returns, reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks.
• Prepare working papers and financial schedules.
• Help with personal and corporation tax returns.
• Update accounting software and maintain client records.
• Provide support to senior accountants on client queries and projects.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in accountancy and finance.
• Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills.
• GCSE Maths and English (grade 5 or above).
• Currently studying towards, or having completed, A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification (BTEC, T-Level).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
